CANCELLED
Well, if you saw my last post about being invited to meet with President Trump to explain my FOOD EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION idea, lots and lots of dear friends and loyal supporters procured a private jet to get me from Idaho to D.C. and back, bring a suit to me in D.C., drive me to the White House . . .
I can't say thank you enough for the huge show of support to get me there, but at the final hour, I did not survive the vetting procedure that President Trump visitors go through.
So after all that effort, I've been cancelled from the meeting. Literally 11 a.m. today I got the official RSVP from the White House, where to come, when to arrive, etc. but at 1 p.m. it all changed. I heard some reasons but will not speculate. I've decided to let it go and not burn the bridge. I've gone through all the emotions of anger, frustration, and vengeance, but at the end of the day, wisdom and charity demand that I let it go and keep lines of communication and relationship open.
Thank you again to all of you who supported and encouraged me. I need to give kudos to RFK Jr.'s team and Calley Means, especially, who tried their best to punch through the vetting process, but at the end of the day were unsuccessful.
So we carry on for another day. A near miss is closer than we've ever been.
We'll see if discussions with those who vetted in will result in solving food and farm problems with freedom or more government intervention. Stay tuned.
I'm scheduled to speak at the National Mall on July 6 at 2 p.m. as part of the celebrations around the 250th. My speech is FOUNDERS AND FOOD FREEDOM. Let's hope it catches the ear of someone and we can keep driving food choice forward. We have choice in the bathroom, choice in the bedroom, choice in the womb, but not choice in the kitchen. When the government gets between my lips and my throat, I call that an invasion of privacy.
What do you think?
