JOEL'S POETRY

              Before sharing a poem that came to me last night, let me just say that my ink pen blog got a huge response.  I had no idea so many people had favorite pens and, like me, are pen snobs.  Welcome to the club.  And guess what; people sent me pens.  Lots of pens.  All had the right tip, but some were click pens, which I don't favor as much as the Uniball 1 mm bold 207 Impact that comes apart.  That way when you take the cap off, there's no shirt clip to rub in the fatty part of your hand when writing.  Did I say I was a pen snob?  

                  Okay, I woke up this morning with a line in my head:  YOU'RE THE ONLY YOU.

                  Here's the poem that came out of that:

Who gave you eyes 

So you could see

They're all just lies

And you're really free?

You're the only you,

No reason to be blue.

You're way beyond a few

'Cause it's absolutely true,

So you would know

When life gives rains

You know where to go?
