It's Friday and time for another teaser on my book with former apprentice Chris Slattery titled POLYFACE DESIGNS.

Two senators have gotten some big media play proposing a bi-partisan cure for alleged cattle price manipulation by the big packers. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Jon Testor (D-Montana) have teamed up to write a mandate that the big four beef processors must purchase half their supply from what is known as the spot market.

 Those of you who follow this blog fairly religiously know that we went through roughly a year of being unable to get our beef livers back from the slaughterhouse because a new inspector unacquainted with the green sheen on grass finished beef livers condemned them as inedible.

These days I do half a dozen guest podcasts a week.  Someone asked me recently if I had my own podcast, and while numerous folks have asked me to do one, I'm not sure the world needs another podcast.  I'm too old for something that novel.  This blog is about as modern as I can handle, and if it weren't for Wendy, I couldn't do this either.

 In keeping with the Friday teasers introducing my collaborative new book titled POLYFACE DESIGNS with guru engineer and former apprentice Chris Slattery, today I want to focus on some of the ancillary material.

Since Covid-19, apartment rents in San Francisco have dropped nearly 10 percent.  That means just a few months ago, a one bedroom apartment in San Francisco averaged nearly $4,000 a month.  Just call it $45,000 a year.

I've purposely stayed away from coronavirus for more than a week, but things eventually accumulate so today I'm thinking about alternatives.

Saturday I went to a nearby farm estate auction.  Normally as the season begins to break we have one of these in our area almost every Saturday, but with the coronavirus, this is one of the myriad activities put on hiatus.

Until it's actually printed in late August, my new book POLYFACE DESIGNS with engineer and former apprentice Chris Slattery will continue to be teased on these Friday blogs.

As Americans contemplate the food future and the recent bare supermarket shelves, the obvious question is this: what farming system represents the most secure nutrition production model?

After being on the Joe Rogan show a couple of weeks ago, I received numerous comments and this is one: The U.S. government should 100 percent pay for every American's healthy food. Healthy food should be free in the U.S.

In keeping with what I introduced last Friday, for the next several weeks on Friday I'll be tantalizing you with peeks at our upcoming book POLYFACE DESIGNS. It'll be available for pre-order about the first of August.
